Did Cloud Seeding in Texas cause the Floods in Kerr County? We no longer give Augustus Doricko any benefit of the doubt
24 Year Old Rainmaker CEO denies possibility his company could have contributed to these storms
By Paul Bean
I tried with this guy.
You may remember back on April 4th when I debated “Rainmaker” CEO Augustus Doricko and told him that cloud seeding is a terrible idea and almost always ends in disaster. So many believe this is a ‘new technology’ and people like Augustus think it’s going to solve issues like ‘water scarcity, which is of course caused by climate change…. NOT!
And yet here we are:
Devastating flash floods have struck central Texas, particularly affecting Kerr County and surrounding areas along the Guadalupe River.
The floods were triggered by a sudden storm that dumped over a foot of rain in a short period, have caused widespread devastation, including the collapse of infrastructure and the displacement of hundreds.

The death toll has risen significantly, with reports varying slightly across sources. According to Reuters, at least 43 people have been confirmed dead, including 15 children, with the number expected to increase as searches continue.
The BBC reports a higher toll, stating at least 51 lives lost, including 14 children, with 27 children still missing from a Christian youth camp in Kerr County.
In the past few days following the Kerr County floods, many online pointed out there are currently ongoing could seeding operations in Texas and that Augustus Doricko’s “Rainmaker” is one of the companies responsible for the cloud seeding projects.
After many of us demanded transparency online, including General Mike Flynn, Doricko gave a professional, PR style, crisis management response that, well, I just don’t buy for one single minute:
I want to make the important note — notice that he says at the end “I encourage the meteorology community to ask questions and scrutinize our claims, and we will continue to be fully transparent in answering.”
So only people in meteorology should question him because of course the rest of us are too stupid, and those that work in meteorology would NEVER be co-conspirators in weather modification or geoengineering…
Short and sweet Augustus, we ain’t buying it.
You stopped cloud seeding operations less than 36 hours before the floods started and you actually expect us to believe you are in the clear?
These people think they have complete control over what they are doing. They don’t understand that one action of theirs could cause a chain reaction of circumstances that lead to this storm into the first place.
Not to mention OTHER covert operations taking place he might know nothing about. But as he’s said to me in the past, we cannot prove those operations are taking place so he’s just going to keep doing what he’s doing and never actually look into it.
It’s worth noting that Rainmaker recently raised $25 million in a Series A funding round, which was led by Lowercarbon Capital. This investment was announced on May 5, 2025, by Augustus Doricko, Rainmaker’s founder and CEO, in a detailed thread on X.
On their website, Lowercarbon Capital says:
Don’t worry guys! Augustus is “unf**cking” the planet!!…..NOT!
Back in April during our debate this is exactly what I told Augustus about the HISTORY of the Danger of what he is doing:
"Most people don’t know this, but in 1949 New York City suffered from quite a drought... They actually hired this guy named Wallace Howell and some scientists and researchers out of Schenectady and General Electric— actually these guys were the first guys to really successfully cloud seed. This back in the late 40s… They hired these guys to make it rain in New York, they actually did it and it worked ‘so well’ they ended up flooding the city…When you're talking about changing the weather over millions of people, there’s so many different things that you could effect— this butterfly effect phenomena… I believe that weather is this great equalizer. I am not sure how one corporation could claim ownership over the clouds over anyone else. I am not sure it’s in anyone’s best interest to start opening this door and allowing an opportunity for larger farms and people with more money to pay for cloud seeding.”
Don’t take it from me. Take it from the historical evidence documented in the book “Howell’s Storm, New York City’s Official Rainmaker and the 1950 Drought.”
Anyway. That’s enough on this today.
Expect more to come as debate over the efficacy and morality of cloud seeding continues.
Thanks for tuning in.
